Perhaps publishing has always been my destiny.
In 2009, I discovered copywriting.
I can’t remember how the term crossed my path. All I know is that as soon as I realized it blended sales techniques with writing, I was a goner.
You see, sales is in my blood.
My father was a successful manufacturer’s sales rep. He taught me important lessons like how to use your voice as a tool of persuasion and how to tap into psychological triggers to warm up a prospect.
When I discovered copywriting, I was delighted to find much of what I learned also applied to this type of writing.
I plunged full –force into copywriting in 2010. I wrote copy for my employer at the time and searched for clients on the side. Two years later, I left my full-time job to launch Maguire Copywriting.
I have learned much over the past ten years. I still am obsessed with writing copy. I never found such a perfect fit for all of my skills, talents, and interests as I did with copywriting.
Over the years, I’ve helped dozens of clients develop their marketing assets. I’ve written copy for hundreds of web pages, dozens of case studies, sell sheets, white papers, eBooks, special reports, and emails.
Because I have a background in graphic design, I’ve also added design and formatting to many of these projects, including print ads, brochures, and newsletters.
I have thoroughly enjoyed working with different clients and still maintain a relationship with many of them. However, as of today, Maguire Copywriting is done.
What’s next?
Announcing the Grand Opening of Star Maker Marketing – A Book Publishing Service
Business owners and thought leaders who want to develop their personal brand finally have a marketing service in their corner. Star Maker Marketing offers ghostwriting, copywriting, and marketing services.
If you’ve read my blog over the years, you know I’m drawn toward personal branding. Companies often have brand archetypes that help differentiate their business from their competition. I’ve encouraged my clients to define theirs if they didn’t have one.
A brand archetype allows a company to develop a personality. And for the past five years, I’ve noticed more companies are realizing that having a good story is a powerful marketing tool.
I’ve worked with business owners who struggle to stand out. As a result, I realized that the skills I have can equip them for the “new marketing strategy.”
Which is: Publishing a book.
More Than Publishing a Book
However, not just publishing a book, but using it as a way to generate leads and land high-quality clients.
As the Owner of Maguire Copywriting, I’ve helped dozens of clients over the past ten years. I am excited to now shift our focus on helping business owners and thought leaders tell their story. Today’s new way to market is not just having blog posts and a few special reports. It’s sharing a unique story that establishes your authority and attracts your target audience.
Star Maker Marketing will work with business owners and thought leaders to:
- Position them as the expert in their industry or field with a published book
- Support the publishing of a book with promotional sales copy for landing pages, emails, and press releases
- Create a lead generation funnel to build a list of qualified leads
- Develop a personal brand that will differentiate them and highlight their skills
- Support and strengthen career changes with a consistent image
When it comes to setting yourself apart, nothing makes as much of an impact as a published book.
Using a Book as a Powerful Marketing Tactic
But Star Maker Marketing not only offers the creation of a book but will help you use the book as a marketing tool to get new clients, customers, and opportunities.
So this is a brand new journey for me. I look forward to working with business owners and thought leaders who want to become ‘slightly famous.’
