Mary Rose wrote the winning entry for the small business category for the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Ethics, which led to local and national publicity for a Columbus, Ohio cybersecurity company. She has written copy for Tripwire, a leader in cybersecurity (acquired by Belden for $710MM), Trainz (national leader in buying and selling collectible trains), My Patriot Supply, Cylance, an AI-based cybersecurity company (acquired by Blackberry for $1.4 billion), information marketers such as The Healthy Back Institute and Small Biz Lady, and dozens of mid-size companies and small businesses.

Mary Rose is the author of The Maverick Advisor: The New Rules of Marketing for Financial Advisors and Consultants—Get Great Clients, More Respect, and the Fees You Deserve, and co-author of Get Happy, Write Away: How to Step Into Your Zone and Make Your Dreams a Reality. Mary Rose has a B.A. in Communication Art from the University of Cincinnati and studied graphic design at the University of Dayton. She is an alumnus of the MorningStar School of Ministry and was the Pastoral Advisor/Administrator for three years at the school.

She is a past member of the National Speakers Association and Toastmasters. Mary Rose is also a student of American Writers and Artists, Inc. and a member of Nos Lumine, a Catholic Leaders business group. She is an avid reader, amateur photographer, and inventive cook. When not focused on marketing, she enjoys visiting outdoor locations with her husband, Mickey, drinking in nature and capturing as much of it as possible with her Pentax DSLR KP.

Mickey Maguire is a professional copy editor, author, photographer, songwriter, and speaker from Columbus, Ohio.

Mickey Maguire is the Founder of Mickey Maguire Photo. He is also a professional copy editor, author, photographer, songwriter, and speaker.

He brings an eye for detail and technology expertise to Star Maker Marketing.

In 1995, Mickey became editor-in-chief of Connections, the computer networking and internet technology publication by Grapevine Network Productions. Two years later, he took an offer in Columbus, Ohio as a computer tech and technical writer for Micro Center Corporate offices, the seventh largest OEM in North America. He also was the Founder and Owner of Magfly, a fly fishing wholesale business, from 1976 – 1992, and gained international recognition in that industry.

In addition to his outdoor pursuits, he has always been fascinated with computers. Since then, he’s established Tricorn Publications and created Ukulele Player Magazine, a music periodical that enjoyed over 155,000 readers spanning the globe. Mickey has also authored six books: The Age of Stupidity, Fly-Tying Secrets of the Pros, Frame That Shot!, Get Happy Write Away, The Art and Craft of Romance, and Ninja Mind Tricks.

He has pursued his passions which included teaching fly fishing on the best wild-trout fishery east of the Rocky Mountains. Today, you’ll find him on a bicycle or hiking somewhere in nature’s playground and shooting beautiful landscapes with his Pentax DSLR. When he’s home, he pours his passion into music.
