The Cowboy was over the moon.
First, a little context: My husband loves pocket watches.
He prefers their mechanical parts to a battery-operated timepiece any day of the week.
However, he’s had issues with finding pocket watches that actually work. Most have design flaws or they simply don’t last long.
So it’s been an ongoing quest to find a good pocket watch.
He recently ordered one from Seiko.
Now this particular pocket watch is coming all the way from Japan. Not some warehouse in Illinois.
So the expected arrival date was in a few weeks.
Imagine his surprise and delight when he woke up this morning to find the order had been expedited.
His watch was shipped late last night from Japan and scheduled for delivery today!
This is the kind of service you want to be able to give to your customers and clients.
You want to surprise them and delight them.
You want to deliver them much more than they expect.
Because THAT is the type of experience that will be remembered.
It’s the type of experience that will be shared with family and friends and on social media platforms.
Get this: the Cowboy even found the right characters to say “Thank you for what you did” in Japanese. Arigatou gozaimashita(ありがとうございました) SEIKO
And I found Seiko’s Twitter account to re-tweet his appreciation to them. (And his blog post, “The Pocket Watch Saga”)
See how this works?
If you’re wondering how to drive more traffic to your website, this is one way to do it.
Write about your experience with something and then put it out there.
Share it on your social media accounts.
And eventually, it will start gaining traction.
People will respond and will visit your website or check out your social media accounts.
Attracting traffic to your website depends upon two things.
- Consistency
- Connections
You have to consistently publish your content on your website and promote it through social media channels.
You also need to partner with those who are already in your space. Learn who the influencers are and start to reach out to them.
Ask for an interview and learn what they know. It’s a “win-win” for both of you because you get a deeper understanding of a particular topic and they also get to promote their expertise on a new channel.
Connect with influencers through social media. Share their updates and links. Comment when you can. In time, you’ll start to get attention for your own content.
If you want your own business to start ticking with lots of lead-generation ideas, don’t waste any more time spinning your gears.
